Our Autumn term topic is The Great Fire of London. The children have learnt a lot about this historical event that took place in 1666. To end our topic, we celebrated our learning and achievements by having a 1666 day. We dressed up and completed activities throughout the morning. Parents and carers were invited to join us during the afternoon to listen to some amazing singing, try our scrumptious bread and take a look at our completed work.
Take a look at these AMAZING costumes!
Here are the children making some scrumptious bread to serve to their adults later in the day!
The children used quills to write, just like they did in 1666!
We made fire bracelets using different coloured tissue paper!
Our last activity was to make silhouette candle holders to show The Great Fire of London.
Parents and Carers:
Thank you for the efforts that went into supplying your child with a costume, and for your continued support. They had a brilliant day and loved wearing 1666 clothing. I hope you enjoyed celebrating a few of their many achievements this term.
