Football Team at Kenilworth Road
After two qualifying rounds the Year 5 & 6 Football team reached the final of the EFL Kids Trust Community Cup competition. The final was played on Saturday 20th January 2018 at half time in the game between Luton Town and Morecambe in front of over 8000 spectators on a freezing afternoon.
The team were playing The Priory Academy from Dunstable, who the team had drawn with in a previous competition. Both team played some excellent football and after going 2-1 down, it wasn`t looking good for Pirton.
However, the team showed the usual Pirton grit and determination and scored 2 goals in the last two minutes.
Congratulations to the both teams who put on an excellent game in tough conditions.
