Please note that, due to coronavirus, the DfE cancelled all 2020 and 2021 national assessments. Therefore, with the exception of our KS2 results, the results below are compared to the national results from 2019 (which do not reflect any disruption to learning).
Headline Data
Early Years
On entry into Reception, 16% were at age-related expectations (across all areas). There is no national data for this although it is estimated that around 65% of children nationally are at age-related expectations (across all areas) when entering Reception.#
By the end of Reception (2022), 56% of children had achieved a "Good Level of Development". This compares to a national figure (2019) of 72%. It is important to note that there have been curriculum changes in the EYFS since 2019, so this data comparison may not be accurate.
Phonics
In Year 1 (2022), 72% of children achieved the expected level in the phonics check. This compares to a national result (2019) of 82%.
In Year 2 (2022), 88% of children achieved the expected level in the phonics check. This compares to a national result (2019) of 92%.

Key Stage 2
Attainment
In 2016, National testing changed. The government no longer reports Key Stage 2 attainment using levels. National Curriculum test outcomes are now reported as scaled scores, where 100 represents the expected standard and 110 represents the high standard.
Teacher Assessment judgements are reported for writing.
