Every year on the second Monday in March, the 54 member states of the Commonwealth Of Nations celebrate Commonwealth Day. Its purpose is to recognise the work of Commmonwealth members and to promote understanding and cooperation on global issues. Across the world 2.4 billion people come together to renew our friendship, learn from our differences and celebrate our achievements. Every year the day has a theme and this year it is 'Delivering a Common Future: Connecting, Innovating, Transforming'.
In celebration of Commonwealth Day next Monday the children will be having an Australian themed lunch.
