On Friday, the Teaching Talons team spent the day at Pirton Hill Primary School- Luton. We visit the school regularly, for a wide range of topics. This visit was to cover adaptations, defence techniques and camouflage- so we had a great mix of critters with us! Pinny the Pineapple sat on his butt to show us his stretchy skin- then showed off his sharp teeth by hunting down some live insects! A great day was had by all.
Presenter, Becky also picked up a little bat who had lost his way in Ridgmont. We tried to release him that very evening after a drink and a snack, but despite having no injuries- he refused to go and has chosen to stay in the warm, with free meals for a couple of weeks! We will try again when the weather is milder, we can’t say we blame him!
