The children pefromed as part of the Lealands High School Dance Show. The children have been working really hard to perfect the performance and were very nervous on the evening.

However, the managed to hold the nerves together and produce a high quality performance.

The children have been working hard with the Laura Hobson and Shelby Hannon from Next Generation Youth Theatre group who run the schools dance clubs. If you are interested in participating in more dance then please visit

  • More Success at Big Games 2015

    Fri 13 Mar 2015

A huge congratulations to all the children who participated at the Sainsburys Big Games County finals on Friday 6th March 2015. It was a very long but exciting day.

After winning the respective town events, Pirton Hill had 3 teams competing at the event:

    • Year 5 & 6 Tag Rugby
    • Year 5 & 6 Hockey
    • Year 3 & 4 Indoor Athletics

The day started with a opening ceremony at Inspire Sports Village in Luton, where the over thousand students from across Bedfordshire were treated to a show involving dance, music and this years guest speakers were Julie Rogers who is the one of the youngest Paralympians to represent Great Britain in the 2012 games in sitting volleyball and the England Hockey player Kirsty Mackay.

After the ceremony teams were transferred to their venues to compete. The children were fantastic all day and were great ambassadors for the school and for Luton.

The Year 3 & 4 Indoor Athletics team finished 1st overall in the county.

The Year 5/6 Tag Rugby team finished 4th overall in the county

The Year 5/6 Hockey team finished 5th overall in the county

All of the children were great and we look forward to competing hopefully in the Summer games in June.
